The Love Shack is a block away from Manitou Avenue, the main street. Everything you want is a short walk around town. If you seek simple elegance, privacy, and location for 1 or 2, the Love Shack is for you! *A privacy fence with a locked gate for security surrounds the studio cottage, and there's a dedicated off-street parking spot right outside your entry gate. * Enjoy the garden with flagstone patio and furniture, and the covered front porch. *Make meals in the fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, cooking utensils and basic supplies, water-filtering pitcher. *Heated wood floors and window AC ensure that this artsy- Shack always stays at your ideal temperature. *Full bath with a clawfoot soaking tub, with soaking salts and bubble bath provided. *Queen-size bed with Saatva Ultra Premium mattress and nightstands with USB plugs! *Fast Wi-fi. helps you get a spot of work done outside in the private garden or at the dining table. * There is a laundromat 4 blocks away (500 block) on the other (East) side of downtown Manitou. * Springs: local favorite "Twin Spring" is a minute's walk West from your front door. "Stratton Spring" downtown is a 2-minute walk, and it's another minute or so to Fountain Creek, which runs through downtown. * It's an 8-10 minute walk up Ruxton Ave. to Iron Spring, Ruxton Creek, the Manitou Incline, the Cog Railway, Ute Pass Trail, Barr Trail, and Intemann Trail. * Walk West on Manitou Avenue at the roundabout to get to Adventures Out West (ziplines! jeep tours!) and up the Serpentine Road a bit to get to the Rainbow Falls entrance. * It's 6 minutes' drive to the back entrance of Garden of the Gods (Ship Rock), to Cave of the Winds, and to Red Rock Open Space.
Other Details to Note
The Love Shack does not have a shower. Instead we offer a quality bathing experience in a beautiful soaking tub with a hand held shower head for rinsing and washing hair. The soaking tub was designed to provide an unhurried and restful bathing experience. The Epsom Salts and Essential Oil Bubble Bath are on us! Also, please note there is no TV, but the high-speed internet allows you to stream your favorite shows on your own devices. There are two other vacation rentals--a one-bedroom that sleeps 2 guests and has a hot tub, and a 4 bedroom/4 bath house that sleeps 8--in our downtown Manitou Springs network if you have need of additional space for yourselves, family or friends. PURE LOCATION - Pure afternoon Sunshine! Quiet hidden patio to enjoy your wine and cheese! This property is 1 block from downtown Manitou Springs with activities, shops and dining. It's also several blocks from world class hiking, Barr Trail that goes to the top of Pikes Peak and the Manitou Springs Incline and other delightful trails.
Guest Access
You'll have the entire studio cottage and fenced patio all to yourself! Park in the spot marked 9 1/2 Ruxton (the one closest to your entry gate) and access the Love Shack via the railroad tie and flagstone steps and deck steps.

Walk to downtown Manitou Springs restaurants, pubs, galleries and novelty shops, the Cog Railway, the Intemann, Barr, Ute Pass and Incline trailheads, Adventures Out West ziplines, etc. It's all within a few minutes! Bring or rent a bike to get to Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Canyon open space, and other nearby attractions. The Incline Shuttle and 33 Bus come right by the dwelling on Ruxton, and you can take these through Manitou into Old Colorado City and all the way into downtown Colorado Springs! Easy Peasy! Lyft and Uber are available in the area, or rent a car to get to attractions that are a little further out (examples: Broadmoor, 7 Falls, Cheyenne Canyon, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo--20 minutes; U.S. Air Force Academy--20 minutes; The Royal Gorge--1 hr 15 minutes).
